Greetings from beautiful Colorado!
As you may know, I’ve spent the last three years investing into young people at New Life Church through the School of Worship. I gave constructive feedback on their leadership and execution, counseled students throughout the year and even helped them find jobs as they graduated. I was licensed as a pastor and led worship for different ministries during my time there. Joanna worked at WaterBrook Publishing as a sub-rights administrator until August of last year when we welcomed Everly Ivy into the world – our beautiful baby girl.
As Joanna and I began our lives together in Colorado Springs it seemed we could live there forever – even though my hope was always to venture out and become a worship pastor at a local church, helping people know God and experience abundant life through the gift of worship. Through a period of directed prayer and wise council, it was confirmed that the time had come for us to pursue that dream together. Along with Pastor Aaron Stern, his wife Jossie and an incredible team – in February of this year we planted Mill City Church in Fort Collins, Colorado with the blessing of my leadership at New Life.
The goal of Mill City Church is simple: to point people to Jesus and develop whole-hearted followers of Him (for more details visit www.millcitychurch.org). As the worship pastor of the church I’ll be working closely with Aaron to steward the worship expression of the congregation and leading each week, discipling my team, praying with and counseling people, and developing a sense of belonging. We’re honored to partner with God and our amazing team as we reach out to the city – extending the hope and life of Jesus to a dying world.
Since this is a new church, Jo and I will be raising financial support for the next twelve months. We invite you to come alongside us in this special assignment.
